HOW I GREW MY HAIR?!

Hello Beautifuls!
I wanted to share with you my hair transformation! For me my hair is very important. It's the main thing you see when you look at A person and I have always wanted to achieve long, healthy hair. If you're interested in my hair journey then please continue reading...

Here we have my hair over the years. Guys please excuse the ugly young pictures of me... I went through a 'phase'. So the top left picture is me when I was in school, I must have been about 13/14. This was what we called the 'Rihanna bob'. Back then, Rihanna's 'Good girl gone bad' album came out and everyone wanted this hair cut! So I had it done and hated it right away. The top right picture I must have been about 15/16 and again hated my hair like this but for some reason I had short hair for my entire childhood. I thought it was never going to grow but I kept trying and trying.

Luckily that hard work seemed to pay off as my hair has grown to a length I am very happy with now. The bottom two pictures were taken around 6 months ago so its even grown a little more since then (I have no recent pictures that you can clearly see my hair).

So I wash my hair once maybe twice a week. Some people will say this is disgusting but I honestly couldn't care less what people think. This ensures that all my natural oils that help my hair grow come out and aren't drowned in shampoo. My hair rarely gets greasy so I don't feel the need to wash it so much, In all honesty I had to train it to be used to not being washed everyday but now it hardly ever gets greasy. I doubt my hair would grow at all if I washed it everyday. I know some people have to wash it everyday or every other day because it gets greasy but if you would just brave it out for a few days your hair would then know not to release too many oils straight away which is what its doing. It's thinking 'crap lets spread natural oil before she washes it again' and therefore becomes more greasy more quickly. I also recommend getting your hair cut every 6-8 weeks- Just a light trim!

These are the products that I love to use on a daily basis. My all time favourite brands to use are Aussie and Tresemme. They're affordable and great products.
Take a look below to read about my top picks...

AUSSIE MIRACLE MOIST SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER £4.19
I love all Aussie products because they smell amazing and they really do what it says on the bottle. I like to use the Miracle moist shampoo and conditioner because my hair tends to get quite dry but you can use whichever one suits your hair the most. Also, keep an eye out in boots and Superdrug because all Aussie things tend to be on offer for 2 for £7 or 3 for £10 quite often and are a much better value for money.

AUSSIE 3 MINUTE MIRACLE LEAVE IN CONDITIONER £4.99
The leave-in conditioners are a great treat for your hair! They have loads of different ones and at the minute I am using the Take The Heat one as I have had a lot of things going on lately that have required me to use more heat on my hair than usual. I use this probably on every two weeks or so. Again these are in the 2 for £7 and 3 for £10 offers so keep a look out.

AUSSIE MIRACLE COLOUR INSURANCE SPRAY_IN CONDITIONER £4.49
I love to use this as an alternative to the other leave in conditioner. I use this one probably almost every time I wash my hair and it leaves it feeling amazing and keeps my hair colour locked in. I'm a natural blonde so I tend to get roots fairly quickly and having this helps to make my colour go a longer way.

TRESEMME SPLIT REMEDY £5.75
I loveeeeeeee this stuff! After I have washed my hair I will add a pump or two of this to my ends and voila! Beautifully smooth hair. It fixes up to 80% of splits that have already been made, isn't that amazing?

TRESEMME ARGAN OIL TREATMENT £7.30
Again this is beautiful! its a very oily oil (?) but it does nourish my hair loads and works a treat! its great!

TANGLE TEEZER COMPACT STYLER IN PURPLE DAZZLE £12.25
Right, I don't care if you think this is expensive for a hair brush GO AND GET ONE! My hair is so thick and get so knotty it was driving me insane and then I came across this bad boy! I love it! It's completely pain free- which I don't quite understand but it's true. They come in all shapes and sizes but I went for the compact one because it comes with a lid type thing so the bristles won't get damaged in my handbag. I also went for this colour because I thought the metallic was cool but there are loads of other ones to choose from. Its great, you all have to get one right away.

So here is my hair transformation/care routine. I hope this helped in some kind of way. What is your hair type? Did you have short hair once? let me know what products you use so I can also learn from you guys!

Lots Of Love,
Devon xo
